Jakfoto is based in Orange County, California, but we love the fact that we get to work all over the world. We’re happy to pack our bags (and our passports) for your big day!
What type of films do you make?
We believe that wedding films should be emotional, honest, and fun to watch! We use quality HD footage, professional audio, and narrative editing to create artfully edited films that tell your story, with your personality. Our packages are based on the length of your film:
- 4-6 minute Highlights
- 8-10 minute Short Film
- 12-20 minute Feature

We also love creating films that tell your Love Story! Through interviews and [polite, even stealthy] filming of you and your sweetheart on a favorite date, your personal love story becomes your favorite romance film. Share it with friends and family, save it to share with each other or your kids years down the road… What better way to commemorate an engagement or anniversary?
What else is included?
In addition to your fully edited edited wedding film, your custom DVDs include a basic edit of the entire wedding ceremony and toasts, so you won’t miss a minute. You get three DVDs (additional copies are $40 each), plus your edited film will be hosted online so that you can easily share the link with family and friends.
How many cameras will be there?
We provide two talented cinematographers to capture your day (3 for a Feature). Kiera always leads the shooting and edits the feature films, so she is connected to every minute of the process! Josh usually joins her in shooting, plus we work with a number of tried and trusted filmmakers so that we can provide additional cinematographers when needed.
Do you charge per hour?
We think it’s important to capture your day from beginning to end. Every wedding film package includes two-camera coverage from the first event of your day (usually the bride and groom getting ready) until the last event of the reception, up to 12 hours. If you know beforehand that your schedule will run longer, talk to us about customizing a package. If the wedding runs late and you decide on that day to have us stay longer, overtime will be billed at $500 per hour.
What are your rates?
Our wedding video packages start at $3000, with plenty of room to customize. Love Story videos are just $450 if booked with a wedding package! Please contact us for details.
Can I get all the footage from my wedding day?
As an add-on to your wedding film package, we are happy to offer your raw footage on DVD or hard drive for just $600. This option is available for one year after your wedding date. Here’s an email we got from one of our brides, the day she received her raw footage DVDs:

I want a Jakfoto wedding film! How do we book?
Awesome! Just send us an email (Be sure to tell us a little about yourselves! This is all about your story, after all!) and we’ll get started! Once you’ve settled on a package, a signed contract and 50% retainer will hold your date. Sorry, we’re not able to reserve a date without a retainer.
Can we meet with you first?
Absolutely! We’re available for coffee, lunch, cocktails, chatting, Skype, phone dates, puppy playdates, and even long walks on the beach, if that’s your thing! Send us an email or give us a call (714.768.3156) and let us sweep you off your feet. ;)

Hi, Have you done any anniversary films? My husband and I just celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary and this is something I would love to do for our 25th. Just curious if you would do something like that and about how much you would charge. Thanks.
Thanks for your question, Wendy! A Love Story film would be the perfect way to commemorate a milestone anniversary! We’ll take you out for an afternoon at your favorite places – maybe some locations that hold special memories – and give you a chance to tell your Love Story in your own words.
